Will removing my breast implants decrease my risk of breast cancer? With the exception of some extremely rare malignancies, there is no evidence that breast implants lead to an increased risk of breast cancer. However, some of our patients are concerned about their auto-immune condition worsening with implants, and have opted to have them removed. For these individuals, we have created a combined reconstruction that includes breast implant removal, a limited breast lift and breast tissue augmentation with a fat transfer.
When performing a fat transfer for a breast augmentation, where does the fat come from? A fat transfer to the breasts involves a liposuction procedure, usually performed on the abdomen, hips or thighs. However, we can remove the fat from anywhere on the body that features a substantial amount of excess volume that you’d like to remove.
What can a brow lift accomplish? A brow lift can glamorize the eyes and restore a refreshed expression. If you want to see what a brow lift can do for your face and eyes, gently lift your brow upward and outward and you’ll see the improvement. A brow lift will also address the muscle responsible for deep frown lines, therefore eliminating the need for Botox in that area.
How can I fix my very visible implants? A common complication among thin women, your implants may be visible if the tissue coverage is not sufficient. At Clinique of Plastic Surgery, we have a signature way of correcting this problem, using fat micro-grafting to soften the décolleté area and accomplish a more discreet final outcome.
Is fat grafting permanent? With over 20 years of experience and thousands of procedures performed, I can definitely confirm that fat grafting is permanent. However, the process may require up to three sessions to ensure an optimal result.
